Workshop Description

Listening and speaking are, of course, both a major component in learning a language and often perceived as difficult by learners. Input, input, input is the only way to improve those skills, but  how to create engaging and interesting exercises, can be quite a challenge. One thing we know is that for the 21st century students,  video remains the dominant medium of choice. Therefore the use of video in the language class is necessary.

In this workshop, we will explore how to use video as a tool, not just the audio, but more specifically also the other cultural content of the video. We will discuss how to use video effectively from short clips, video games , to video assignments for students.
