Workshop Description
In this workshop, we will discuss using tools and strategies to enhance student engagement in virtual (Zoom) language class meetings. We will demonstrate using Padlet, Kahoot and Zoom from a student’s perspective. You will get a chance to exchange ideas, brainstorm and design your own online class activity.
This workshop is a follow-up to a recorded video presentation, in which we introduce a sample lesson plan for a virtual language class and describe strategies we use to enhance student engagement in our classes. Please watch the video presentation prior to participating in the hands-on workshop, and arrive prepared to discuss your questions and ideas. We encourage participants to bring your own laptops / mobile devices to this workshop.
